This photo was taken on Vaeroy Island during our 2000 km trip while bicycling through the North of Norway. This island is the beginning of Lofoten, and its heart. If you were to look from the ridges above, it may seem that you are looking at beating heart. We managed to get to Vaeroy by helicopter. We got great views from above while our bikes were with our friend on a ferry.
The Island is quite small and cozy during good weather, but when the storms are rolling in it looks like the face of the devil on the horizon. That is the very moment of photographic bliss when the angel (sun) fights with devil (night and storm). Because of this shot we almost missed our ferry on the main island, but arrived just in time on our bikes.
